random Update(?) and some doll photography...

This is a long overdue post, but I decided to combine it with another thing. So here is some pictures i took of my Lanie doll outside. She is really photogenic, so I thought I'd share some pictures with you.

I love her so much, and I especially like taking pictures of her outside.

Next, I have a random Monster High update. Today we were at the flea market and I happened to stumble across this dawn-of-the-dance Clawdeen for $2.00(!!!) She came in "okay" shape....
she included her original dress, but the trim is fraying in the back, and it's missing one of the belts (the green ribbon one).
Her face is a little dirty, but it's nothing I cant' handle. Her paint's in nice shape,
Her legs were also a little dirty (I'm pretty sure she was a "well loved" doll ;)
Her hair still has a fair amont of gel in it........
....but to my surprise she came with all of her earrings!!!!!!
I didn't know what to do for her face (we don't have any magic erasers), my mom said try some of that baking soda mix I use for my American Girl dolls, so I tried that.
 Here we go....all set up.
 the turnout was pretty good.
I had to trim a couple of extra long hairs....
and, as I always get when I find a new Monster High doll, I was inspired to dump out all of my accesories to look through them, and try some on Clawdeen.
Here are all three of my older Monster High dolls I found second hand (the middle one is a Skull Shores Ghoulia my sister found at a yardsale and eventually gave to me, and I customised her.)
Here is one of clawdeens' hands next to an extra hand my sister and I found in the parking lot by our mamaw's apartment. We believe it's a Dawn-of-the-Dance Clawdeen hand.
Clawdeen decided on these cute sunglasses from my Mirror Beach Ashlynn (another custom)
It was fun to pose her with her new glasses, I like the way the pink color goes with her lime green hair.

another pic:

Here she is with my original Gloom Beach Clawdeen, who I also found with all of her earrings a few months ago (but sadly, not her original outfit, I've been considering buying the re-release and using that outfit for this doll and customising the new doll.)
And here are my three rescues, all together!

I really enjoy finding secondhand Monster High dolls and figuring out which ones they are. I usually look them up on eBay later and see how much of a deal I got.

Also, I'm sorry for taking so long to post, but it takes forever to upload all the pictures I need to the blog, and i am a bit of a procrastinator, to be honest.

The new doll in the dollhouse (5/03/2016)

My Lanie doll from eBay came in on May 3rd, and I decided to do a post about it. I didnt get any pictures from the actual opening, but these are the pictures I did take.....

So here she is after I fixed her curls, but I didn't take any before photos. (I forgot to)
She is so beautiful, she came in such good condition....
Here is her hair from the back:
And the side:
And here is a semi-profile:
Her head is a little loose, and her neck gaps a bit, but I'm pretty sure it's not due to age, and it might be something she came with when she was a brand new doll.
She came with these AG place pajamas, still on the hanger with the tag.....
She also came with the hat that originally came with her Gardening Outfit (with the blue tunic)
Here is a note from the seller, I thought this was really sweet...I was definitley satisfied with this purchase.
She also came with her first book, I haven't read it yet, but I can't wait to get around to it.
She came with this Our Generation Case, which held:
A mini camera with a neck-strap:
A mini IPod with removable earbuds. It's so adorable.
And to my surprise, a mini MacBook(this wasn't mentioned in the listing, so I was very surprised)
It has a sticker that says "American Girl" as the screen, but I dont know if this is some retired item I'm unfamiliar with, or if it's Our Generation (or something else) with a new screen sticker.

I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and I'm so glad that Lanie is here, finally. She was in very good condition, she has no shiny spots, her limbs aren't as tight as a new doll, but they are still in good shape. They are about like my Julie doll's limbs, so I'm used to it. Her hair just needed some finger-curling (spritzed with some water, curled with my fingers). She came with everything the listing mentioned and a couple surprises. She came in the mail in good time, and the package wasn't damaged.

Stay tuned for more pictures of the new doll in the dollhouse, her character bio, and the first story from Days in the Dolhouse...

Days in the Dollhouse: Character Bio's: Julie

Full Name: Julie Marie Albright

Doll: American Girl Julie doll (Historical Character)

Favorite Disney Character: Princess Jasmine from Aladdin

Favorite Movie(s): Brave, Uptown Girls, Aladdin, Rise of the Guardians, How to Train Your Dragon.

Favorite Book(s): Junie B. Jones, DC Comics(she hasn't seen any movies, she'd rather read the comic books).

Personality: Julie is the oldest of the bunch, the "big sister", she is a super-confident tomboy, sometimes tends to get a little too confident, especially when she's playing basketball. She likes to take the lead although she's not bossy. She was the first Ag doll in the dollhouse so she feels obligated to take care of everyone else, even though deep down she still isn't used to the others, even though it's been years since Beverly came to live with us (she was my second doll).

Pet Peeves: Losing a basketball game, not being able to play, people who try to debate about Marvel vs. DC comics with her (she really doesn't care),makeup, seeing her "siblings" hurt, and seeing collectibles in bad shape.

Favorite Color: Lime Green

Hobbies: reading comics, cosplay, and daydreaming of Comic-Con

Collections: DC Comic books, other DC memorabilia.

Favorite Songs: Hey There Delilah-Plain White T's, Eyes Open-Taylor Swift, Confident-Demi Lovato.

Days in the Dollhouse: Character Bio's: Beverly

Full Name: Beverly Ingrid Reneey-Lee

Doll: My AG #25

Favorite Disney Character: Princess Anna from Frozen

Favorite Movie(s): Frozen, Sleeping Beauty, Brave, Tangled, The Fault in Our Stars

Favorite Book(s): The Fault in Our Stars, anything Dr.Suess

Personality: She's the Disney Girl of the bunch, she loves all of the princesses and the movies and loves to make fan-art. She's a generally shy girl but once you get to know her she opens up. She is a girly girl but also a lazy girl so when she does dress up its rarely, and she usually tones down the fancy. She has a very active imagination and loves to daydream, but she does tend to wander off (literally), she loves walking around outside but close to the house since she can't stand bugs.

Pet Peeves: bugs, people who spread fandom hate, horror movies, and too much jewelry.

Favorite Color: Salmon or Peach-ish Pink

Hobbies: Watching Disney movies, making fan-art, playing with her dolls.

Collection(s): Disney Princess Magic-Clip dolls

Favorite Song(s): Hello-Adele, Love is an Open Door-Frozen, For the First Time in Forever-Frozen
